What this site is
SmartLocksUK publishes guides and assessments about smart locks sold in the UK. It is a trading name of Henry Dennis. Nothing is sold here: there is no shop, no booking, no quote and no contract formed by reading it.
What our guidance is and isn't
Our assessments come from installing and configuring these products on real doors. They are informed opinion, offered in good faith, and they are not a substitute for a survey of your own property, your insurer's requirements, or your landlord's or freeholder's permission. Lock ranges, firmware and prices change; check the current details with the manufacturer before buying.
Fitting a lock to a fire door, a communal entrance or a leasehold property can carry legal and safety obligations that a general guide cannot address. Where the stakes are high, get advice specific to your building.
