This policy covers smartlocksuk.com. It is written to be read, not to be survived — if anything here is unclear, ask and we will explain it plainly.
Who is responsible for your data
SmartLocksUK is a trading name of Henry Dennis, who is the data controller for this site. You can reach us about anything in this policy through our contact page.
What we collect
- What you send us. If you use the contact form we receive your name, email address and message. We keep these so we can reply and so we have a record of the correspondence.
- Analytics, only if you agree. We use Google Analytics to see which pages get read. It loads only after you choose "Accept all" on the cookie banner. Choose "Essential only" and it never loads at all.
- Spam protection. The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks the submission is not automated.
We do not sell anything on this site, so we never take payment details. We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone for marketing.
Who processes it for us
- Google (Analytics) — only with your consent.
- Cloudflare — content delivery and spam protection for the site.
- Mailgun — delivers the notification email when you use the contact form.
- DigitalOcean — hosts the site and its database, in London.
How long we keep it
Contact form correspondence is kept for up to two years, then deleted. Analytics data is retained for 14 months by Google's own default setting.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Ask through the contact page and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Essential cookies keep the site working and your consent choice remembered. Analytics cookies load only with consent. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the banner back.
